Sigma Phi Epsilon - SC Beta

Sigma Phi Epsilon was established on November 1, 1901 at Richmond College. Since then, it has grown to be one of the nation's leading fraternities with 270 chapters nationwide. We are dedicated to influence lives of young men for their betterment as well as others. Sigma Phi Epsilon brothers share a commitment to personal health and well-being. The Fraternity, as a whole, provides programs to help each member achieve his full potential.

Locally, the South Carolina Beta chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon was founded at Clemson in 1970 on the values of virtue, diligence, and brotherly love. While we are a traditional SigEp chatper, we seek to instill these values by molding men into gentlemen of quality with a sound mind and a sound body. Over the years, the men of Sigma Phi Epsilon at Clemson University have held various leadership positions. There are currently and have been members in IFC, Greek Programming Board, Blue Key Honor Society, Order of Omega, Tiger Brotherhood. We have even had five members become president of the student body. Sigma Phi Epsilon is also responsible for painting all of the tiger paws you have seen around campus. It is a tradition that has stayed with us over the years. In 2009 and 2010 we have partnered with Tigerpaw Prouctions to bring in O.A.R. and Eric Church. These benefit concerts helped us to raise over $3,000 for our national philanthropy, YouthAIDS. This past year, we had the highest GPA out of all IFC fraternites, won various campus wide intramural championships, and had a very active social calendar. Being one of the larger fraternities on campus, we pride ourselves in the strength of our brotherhood.
